Azulejos and Organic soap on Thursday October 15th, 2009 at Anselmo De Andrade, Almada, Pt.This morning at 9.15 a.m. we met our friends, students from Poland, Germany, Rumenia and Portugal at the “Casa Rural” and we decided to split in groups to do some activities.
The first time we and the Polish made tiles (called “azulejos” in Portuguese). It was very funny because we had to decorate tiles with some flowers or people pictures. Not everybody is good drawing so we did modern art.
At 11.30 a.m. we changed the work and we did the organic soap. It was very amusing because we had to shake sodium hydroxide with water. Then we added the oil and we mixed for 20 minutes. After that we poured 50 ml of ethyl alcohol and essential oil. In the end we put it in a container and we decorated it with flowers, we took them in the garden.
